a fool time production

Based in the valley village of Queenstown, which lays within the wilderness of the West Coast of Tasmania, a fool time production was established in 2016 and is building a base for classical theatre for Tasmania and mainland Australia.

Our aim is to create and craft classical theatre for the present based on the classical theatre education of Prof. Dr. Jurij Alschitz; AKT-ZENT/ITI, G.I.T.I.S. (Russian Academy of Theater Arts) and a founding menber of the theatre "School of Dramatic Art", Moscow, with Antatolij Vasiljev.

A fool time production was founded with the intent to reignite the interest and exploration of the processes of storytelling through acting, directing and training.

It's founder has a varied background having worked in theatre, television and film; in German and English, children's theatre, puppetry, voice over, commercial and non-commercial radio, radio content production, design, web development...and the list goes on.

At present "blood will have blood" is the only work in production, although the aim of this project is create full performance utilsing advantages of high-end multi media.

Other projects are also on the drawing board and are in the early stages of conception.

playing the paradox

Modern theatre has, unfortunately relegated the paradox to that long forgotten box under the stage.

Paradoxes have power, the power to create energy. By identifying the pardoxes in a piece, both actor and ensemble can use them to gain insight and find new paths in performances.

special performance

A Fool Time Production is very proud to be associated with MONA during their "42 Days Music Marathon" with a performance of "blood will have blood".

As this is a special performance it means that the performance will also be somewhat different from the full performance due to the performance space and the concept of "42 Days Music Marathon"; performers on display as museum exhibits.

The Nolan Wall is a non-control zone, which means that the use of lights and staging is unavailable and the text has been paared down to suitable fit the environment and concept.

This offers up some challenges, someting a classical actor enjoys.

Most of the main monologues appear in the piece as well as some from Shakespeare's other works that complement the themes of "blood will have blood".

I look forward to to the performance and seeing you there.
